Nutrition

We cater for all dietary requirements and we are mindful of individual dietary requirements such as vegetarianism, veganism and food intolerances and we ask parents to discuss your child’s diet with the management team during registration. We devise varied menu plans each season to ensure that each child experiences different varieties.

We know how challenging it can be to juggle healthy eating into your busy week. Even if you’ve managed to avoid the teatime supermarket dash with the kids, quite often toddlers and young children are too tired to be interested in food by the evening so your cooking just goes to waste. We also know that children eating with their peers heightens their interest in trying new foods.

This is why it’s so important to us that your children are offered healthy and interesting food to eat every day. We want you to relax a little knowing that your little ones are being fed well to encourage healthy eating habits from the start as well as taking some of the pressure off you as a busy parent.

Our resident chef Irene has over 35 years in the catering industry and working alongside the staff, she works her magic creating a range of exciting, wholesome and nutritious meals on rotation which the children love.

All food is prepared freshly in our fully equipped kitchen and staff sit with the children at mealtimes to not only encourage good eating habits but to help with the appropriate social skills too.

Should you wish to keep up to date with the selection available, the menu is displayed daily on the notice board as you are entering the nursery. This is where you can also find our 5 star inspection score from Environmental Health displayed.
